Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Paediatric Electrode Pads

The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Paediatric Defibrillation Electrodes are easy to use, pre-connected and essential for helping a child who has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Paediatric Defibrillation Pads are recommended for patients 8 years of age or younger. The are non polarized–can be placed in either position on the chest-, reducing confusion and saving time during a rescue. Paediatric pads may also be placed on the chest and back. Once connected, the Powerheart G5 quickly and automatically detects the paediatric pad and automatically reduces energy output and CPR requirements to paediatric levels.

Creating a nation of life saversDefibrillators save lives. For the 30,000 people who have out-of-hospital cardiac arrests ever year, quickly receiving CPR and an electric shock from a defibrillator gives them the best chance of survival.  If a defibrillator is used within four minutes it can increase the person’s chances of survival by three quarters. This is why getting defibrillators into workplaces, communities and public spaces is so important.

You can help to make the SA a country where more people survive cardiac arrest by learning CPR and getting a defibrillator for your local community or workplace.
